Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the future.

Not because I have all the answers.

Actually, quite the opposite.

The truth is, I don’t know exactly what’s next for me.

And if I’m being completely honest, that uncertainty makes me uncomfortable.

I’ve always been the type of person who likes a plan. I like knowing where I’m going, how I’m getting there, and what the end result is supposed to look like. There’s comfort in certainty. There’s security in having a roadmap.

But life doesn’t always hand us one.

Sometimes we find ourselves standing in the middle of a season that feels unclear. We’ve outgrown where we were, but we haven’t quite arrived where we’re meant to be.

That’s where I find myself these days.

I’m working toward goals.

I’m building new opportunities.

I’m learning, growing, and stretching myself in ways I never imagined years ago.

Yet somehow, I still find myself wondering:

Am I on the right path?

Will everything work out?

What if the things I’m working so hard for don’t happen the way I planned?

Those questions can be heavy.

They have a way of keeping us awake at night.

They can make us doubt our decisions, second-guess our progress, and compare our journey to everyone else’s highlight reel.

But maybe uncertainty isn’t always a sign that something is wrong.

Maybe it’s evidence that something is changing.

Think about it.

Every major chapter of our lives begins with uncertainty.

The first day at a new job.

The first day of college.

A new relationship.

A move to a new city.

A leap of faith toward a dream we’ve been carrying for years.

None of those moments come with guarantees.

They come with possibility.

And possibility requires trust.

I’ve started realizing that I don’t need to know every detail about my future to keep moving forward.

I don’t need a five-year plan for every aspect of my life.

I don’t need every question answered before I take the next step.

Sometimes the next step is enough.

Sometimes faith isn’t knowing where the road leads.

It’s believing there’s value in continuing to walk it.

So today, if you’re feeling uncertain about your future, know that you’re not alone.

Some of us are quietly carrying dreams we’re still trying to figure out.

Some of us are rebuilding after disappointments.

Some of us are starting over.

And some of us are simply doing our best with the information we have today.

That’s okay.

The future has a funny way of revealing itself one day at a time.

Maybe the goal isn’t to have everything figured out.

Maybe the goal is to become the kind of person who can handle whatever comes next.

For now, that’s enough for me.

I’ll keep showing up.

I’ll keep learning.

I’ll keep growing.

And I’ll trust that the pieces I can’t see yet are still coming together.

Because sometimes the most beautiful chapters begin when we’re brave enough to move forward without knowing exactly how the story ends.
