Hello World!

Forty, Fearless, and Finally Focused

If you had told me ten years ago that I would be starting over at forty — single, raising two children, and fresh out of college — I probably would have laughed… and then cried a little.

Yet here I am.

I’m a 40-year-old woman living in Houston, navigating motherhood, healing, ambition, and rediscovery all at once. My days are filled with school drop-offs, deadlines, budgeting, late-night studying (now replaced with late-night planning), and the constant balancing act that comes with building a better life for my children and myself.

Graduating from college wasn’t just about earning a degree. It was about proving to myself that detours don’t define you — determination does. There were nights I wanted to quit, mornings I questioned everything, and moments I wondered if I was too late to chase the life I wanted.

But I wasn’t.

And neither are you.

Being single at forty isn’t the tragedy society once made it out to be. For me, it has become a season of clarity. I am learning who I am outside of survival mode. I am rediscovering joy, redefining love, and setting boundaries that protect my peace.

Motherhood remains my greatest motivation. My children are watching me build, rebuild, and refuse to give up. I hope they see that resilience looks like showing up even when life feels heavy.

This blog is my space to tell the truth about starting over, healing out loud, navigating womanhood, parenting, career moves, faith, dating, and everything in between. It won’t always be polished. It will always be real.

If you are rebuilding…
If you are rediscovering yourself…
If you are learning to stand in your power at any age…

Welcome. You’re in the right place.

This is just the beginning.
